Health Foundation # 4 is
 Sunshine, Earth, Air

We need to daily bathe in the SEA
(Sunshine, Earth and Air) that is —

  1. 1/2 hour mid-day SUNSHINE on our skin (or equivalent Vitamin D3)
  2. 1/2 hour daily touching the EARTH with our bare skin
  3. 1/2 hour daily deep breathing in the fresh air to bring our OXYGEN levels high

These three are POWERFUL for promoting good health!

The acronym to remember is — SEA.
Sunshine (or the Sunshine Vitamin—Vitamin D)

sunshine Vitamin DEarth life is only possible because of the influence of the sun. The most important vitamin of all the vitamins is Vitamin D3 - and it is created as we get sunshine on our skin (or supplement with Vitamin D3.)

Not only does sunshine trigger the vital chemical reaction in plants called photosynthesis that sustains all life on earth , but sunshine also triggers the release of a vital and wonderful chemical called Vitamin D3 when it strikes human skin. Vitamin D3 is one of the body’s important antioxidants/hormones. Supplement Vitamin D3 (hereinafter called Vitamin D) is exactly the same chemical as what exposure to sunlight produces.

Vitamin D is essential in all the following ways:

  1. Vitamin D is vital for the proper functioning of our immune system. In fact, many scientists believe that the reason autoimmune diseases are virtually absent from areas near the equator is because of the much stronger Vitamin D producing influence of sunlight near the equator (having to do with the angle of sunlight).
  2. Vitamin D controls calcium utilization including:
    • the absorption of calcium from the gut.
    • the balance of calcium and phosphorus in our blood and cells.
    • the uptake of calcium into our bones.
  3. Vitamin D also controls the alkalinity of our cells. There is hardly a more important topic than Vitamin D in regard to cell alkalinity and its relationship to becoming “cancer immune”.

Unless we spend one half hour or more of time outside in direct sunlight, at a latitude of less than 30 degrees north or south of the equator, during the hours of 10AM to 2PM, without sunblock on our skin, we are going to have to get our Vitamin D in supplement form.

And you need much more Vitamin D than the Minimum Daily Requirement set by the government. Government nutrient RDAs (recommended daily requirements) are the minimums for staying alive, not for staying optimally healthy. The Vitamin D MDR was set at just 200 units per day for people less than 50 years of age, 400 units for those from 51 to 70 years of age and at 600 units from age 71 onward. Current research suggests that we need 4,000 to 6,000 units of Vitamin D daily. Lactating women need even more.

When one is sick with a cold or flu, taking 50,000 units of Vitamin D for a few days may be just the thing to hasten one’s recovery.

Earth (Touching the Earth)

earthing - infiinte supply of free electronsThe earth is essentially a large battery of antioxidizing electrons - making it the largest source of antioxidants available to mankind. These electrons are ever renewing due to what is called the Global Electric Circuit. These electrons readily transfer to plants and animals that touch the earth.

There are an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 thunderstorms occurring at any given moment around the globe emitting close to 5,000 lightning strikes every minute. This huge electric potential is evenly and rapidly dispersed across the entire earth. Anywhere across the earth’s land and water surface these free electrons are available to extinguish free radicals within man and animal, merely through touching that land or water.

barefootinthegrassSince the human body is an excellent conductor, whenever a person’s skin touches the earth directly, the earth’s electrons are able to flow through that person’s body. These mobile electrons instantly extinguish free radicals because they are ‘perfect’ antioxidants. Unlike food antioxidants, a free electron doesn’t merely donate an electron, it is an electron!

Bottom line, spending time outdoors - without your shoes - is one of the most rejuvenating things you can do.

Air (Oxygen is Life)

One of the first things that medical personnel do in a hospital for someone who is seriously ill is to supply him or her with additional oxygen. The reason is simple:

Oxygen increases energy. More energy helps the body heal and function better on every level.

Oxygen is the single most important component of energy creation in the human body. Unfortunately, many of us live far beneath our energy capability... by choosing to breathe shallowly... and by choosing to exercise too little (exercise carries that oxygen to the cells of the body).

With optimum amounts of oxygen, we think better, feel better, perform better and heal better. Headaches, muscle aches, tendon pains (especially Achilles tendon pains) are often due to chronic, insufficient levels of oxygen in our bodies.

Just as ponds of water become stagnant, barely sustaining life because of low oxygen levels, our cells can also become stagnant and barely alive without enough oxygen.

breathe_deeply_webThe solution can be pretty simple: several times during the day, take a minute and breathe deeply.  Deeply breathing outdoor air is even better. Outdoor air is up to 25% higher in oxygen content than indoor air.

A new way to increase the oxygen in one’s body is oxygen the oxygen splitting technology of Cell Food. Just squirting this oxygen enriched liquid into one’s mouth several times a day or into a glass of water or juice and drinking it, can increase one’s cellular oxygenation substantially.

rebounding_webA grea to get more oxygen going through the body is to use a rebounder. Other forms of aerobic exercise such as walking, swimming, and bicycling are excellent because they cause us to breathe many times more oxygen than we would otherwise.

And keep this in mind: Vigorous aerobic exercise can actually cause our body to expand its network of blood vessels and capillaries. This enables the blood to have more capacity to carry oxygen to our cells. That is why being aerobically conditioned has a far-reaching benefit. Even when you are not deep breathing or exercising, those extra capillaries and blood vessels bring more oxygen to our cells.
